Abstract

All over the world capitals and megalopolises became centers of increased risk during COVID-19 pandemic. In Russia, Moscow and St. Petersburg took the brunt of the pandemic. In addition to excess deaths from coronavirus, mortality from diseases of the circulatory system has increased significantly, both due to a decrease in the availability of cardiological care and due to complications of COVID-19.
