Abstract

The daily life of the elderly has changed during the spread of the COVID-19. But, among the older generation of Muscovites unprecedented restrictive measures caused not only negativity and denial. Already during the interview, the author drew informant`s attention to the repeated optimistic assessments of about life in self-isolation. As a result, even in the situation of limiting the usual ways of communication and movement, were revealed many positive aspects and new opportunities for the elderly. Appears more time for themselfes and awareness of their own interests and desires. Self-preserving behavior, comprehension and acceptance of slowing down the pace of life based on inner strength, allowed elderly people not to lose right way and adapt to the limitations.
