Abstract

The purpose of the research is to substantiate the significance of the mentoring contribution of Academician Dmitry Sergeevich Likhachev to the development of fundamental science, based on the analysis of the provisions of the book “Letters about good and Beautiful” (1985). The methodological basis of the research is the main provisions of the unique book of Academician D.S. Likhachev «Letters about good and beautiful». The article, based on the analysis of the provisions of «Letters about the Good and the Beautiful» (1985), reveals the mentoring contribution to the development of fundamental science, the phenomenon of social service of an outstanding Russian scientist, academician, the largest Russian thinker, Dmitry Sergeyevich Likhachev.
