Abstract

Purpose of the paper: the purpose of the article is to present the problems faced by the practice of applying (using) quality of life assessment systems in the development and implementation of strategic planning and management of the healthcare sector at the regional level. Methods of study: induction, deduction, analysis of statistics and materials of sociological research. Study findings: The results obtained are formulated in the form of analytical provisions and proposals aimed at improving the system of assessing the quality of life of the population. The gap that has formed in sociological science and management practice is indicated: the presence of numerous scientific developments, ratings, etc., focused on assessing the quality of life, and the results obtained during their implementation are in no way taken into account when forming the practice of managing a specific area of society – the healthcare sector, especially at the regional level, the necessity and possibilities of expanding the use of data obtained in assessing the quality of life of the population in the formation of health management practices are substantiated.
