Abstract

The assessment of the socio-economic security of the region refers to those issues of economic security on which there is very little research. Also, assessment approaches have not been formed, on which the quality of assessments largely depends. The starting point of the study was the results of an analysis of existing approaches to assessing objects in economic security, which was carried out in order to identify the applicability of approaches to assessing the socio-economic security of the region. Modeling has become widespread in assessing the socio-economic security of facilities. But the main problem in such modeling is the locality of the models, the inability to become a general model, to be adequate under any market conditions and for any point in time for objects of at least one level (macro-, meso- or micro-level). Approaches to assessing socio-economic security often interact, are used jointly, and overlap, which makes it difficult to choose one or another approach. The results of the analysis of approaches to assessing the socio-economic security of economic security facilities became the basis for certain conclusions and determining the prerequisites for the formation of an integrated approach to assessing the socio-economic security of the region. Such an approach should be formed by borrowing individual elements of the analyzed approaches: constructs that reveal the content of the category socio-economic security of the region, cross-factor analysis and technology for building economic barometers.
