Abstract

There are presented the results of a qualitative study - interviewing young people who have returned home after receiving education abroad as university students, master's or PHD’s degrees recipients, as well as specialists after training in various organizations. It is shown how in various stages - from pre-dating even at home, through training abroad and further deep acquisition of a foreign language - there were taking place an assimilation of norms and rules, behavior patterns, cultural and social traditions and the Western world stereotypes. The study reveals that the mastery of a foreign language is becoming the main resource of human capital accumulation, it is significantly and positively affects a person's career after a return to their homeland.
