Abstract

Gerard Delanty's theory is analyzed in  the context of development of contemporary social theory and historical sociology. The possibilities of using this approach for the study of non-European societies are discussed. It is argued that Deanty's theory is relevant for comparative-historical research of social processes in Russian society.
