Abstract

The article analyses a capital and new technologies development, their impact on urbanization and living environment in the light of their interpretation in the “Capital” of K. Marx and his other works. It’s stated that: (1) Marx’s works on globalization and scientific-technological revolution is still underestimated though they many timed had been analyzed by the author of this article and his colleagues even in the 1960-80s.; (2) Marx’s works are still remain very acute for the understanding of modern phase of globalization and its impact on man and his environment; (3) Marx long before the modern western theorists of globalization had discovered its driving forces and mechanisms; (4) according to Marx, a universal system of labor and all-embracing exploitation of natural resources are its underpinnings that in turn is based on a principle of universal labor; (5) unrestricted capital accumulation was and still is the main reason of uncertainty in the coming future of all strata of a world population (free-lancers, precariat, jobless, involuntary migrants and many others; and (6) as a result, an interest to an issue of alienation of a worker from the subject matter and results of his labor discovered by Marx in his works related to capitalist society development is still growing. Therefore, the interest to his works now, at the very beginning of the XXI century is not accidental.
