Abstract

The conclusion common to participants in the discussion is that the October Revolution is undoubtedly an event of world-historical significance that radically changed the socio-political world order. This process is extremely contradictory, antinomic. On the one hand, he opened the possibility of the social emancipation of the people of labor, on the other, showed the horrors of the civil war, the despotic dictatorship, the suppression of dissent by the power. From the point of view of classical Marxism, it can not be considered complete, since, contrary to the Marxist project, October was not transformed into a world revolution, but in Russia and in other post-socialist countries it was stopped by the restoration of capitalism
