Abstract

The article presents the results of a sociological study of the living conditions of rotational workers who come to the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District from other regions of Russia and from other countries. Particular attention is paid to the changes in the current situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Based on the results of our own monitoring field studies conducted since 2000 and in-depth interviews in 2020 with the heads of Arctic municipalities that are members of the Union of Cities of the Arctic and the Far North, the author suggests adopting the relevant measures aimed at legislative regulation of rotational work management in the Russian Arctic.
