Abstract

The relevance of this study is explained by the fact that with the development of new forms of employment, and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the remote employment format has firmly become a reality, radically changing the understanding of personnel management and giving grounds for rethinking the role of the company’s organizational culture. The subject of the article is management decisions in the field of formation, maintenance, development and change of organizational culture in the context of the mass transition to remote employment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors examine the major problems remote employment poses, and suggest ways to solve them through organizational culture. Adaptation and purposeful work with its components are necessary conditions for the effective functioning of any company, both in normal mode and during remote employment. The authors consider the methods of forming, developing and maintaining an effective culture for remote employees adapted to the specifics of remote employment. The authors in their study use statistical data that characterize the organizational culture of the Russian and foreign enterprises in the era of pandemic, polls and surveys, including those conducted by the authors themselves. Based on the analysis, the authors draw some conclusions and propose some recommendations
