Forum “Open Tribune”



The Forum “Open Tribune” was held in the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences on November, the 16, 2015.

This event was devoted to Sociologist Day. Sociologist Day is celebrated in Russia on the 14th of November. We invited all persons who wished to take part in the forum from eminent scholars to young scientists.

The forum provided an opportunity to discuss different problems which are important to sociological community such as:

  • The role of sociology in the public sphere: opportunities and limitations
  • Is there a credibility gap? Does Russian society and government trust to sociology?
  • Predictive opportunities of sociology
  • Which are the prospects of sociology in Russia?
  • The role and place of sociology in the interdisciplinary researches
