Abstract

The chapter examines the multilevel system of political relations of the network society in the context of the topological approach. It is noted that political networks form the very topological space in which diverse political relations based on political communications are implemented in political practices. The perspective of the study of political relations based on the use of the concept of topological rotation is proposed  - this is a new direction in political sciences, which studies the processes of continuity and connectedness, considered in the focus of the topology of space, the topology of form, movement and applied to the analysis of socio-political processes of modern society. The topological perspective of the study of political relations based on political communication networks involves their consideration in the context of a variety of configurations and properties, taking into account possible deformations when passing through network nodes. In the process of the formation of a network society, the very principle of the implementation of political relations is changing – there is a transition from hierarchical interaction to network interaction. The multiplicity of contacts of network interaction participants determines the diversity of network models of political relations practices.  The study in the topological context of networks of political relations and political communications allows us to get closer to understanding the complex mechanism of functioning of a network society. The topological vector is aimed at identifying and studying the effects of political processes in social and virtual realities. The political topology focuses on the concepts of space-form in their interrelations and network configurations. Addressing this issue expands the spectrum of analysis of society and man within the framework of network theory.
