Abstract
The case of interethnic relations in the Kabardino-Balkar Republic is presented. The proposed material is based on the analysis of transcripts of expert interviews of group discussions in the region. The received range of opinions provided a unique opportunity to determine the specifics of the situation of interethnic relations between the main interacting ethnic communities in the republic, the factors that determine these features, to identify potential sources of tensions in the republic on ethno-cultural grounds.
