Abstract

This paper describes the main trends and problems associated with the development of the sociocultural space of small towns in the Far East. The city of Spassk-Dalny, Primorye Territory, was chosen as a research case. When studying the aspects under consideration, statistics data and qualitative sociological methods are used. In general, the sociocultural space of small towns is closely connected with the socioeconomic development of the territory, with the strategy and goal of the sociocultural development of small towns, which requires solving urgent problems, the priority of which are the problems of health, education and leisure.
