Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the results of the early parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan held at the end of November 2021. The reasons that prompted the leadership of this country to hold these elections are analyzed almost a year after the next parliamentary elections were held in the country in October 2020, the results of which were annulled. It is considered how the amendments to the Constitution of Kyrgyzstan adopted at the referendum held in April 2020 affected the change in the powers of the representative and executive authorities of this country. The characteristics of the party system that has developed in the country in recent years are given and the leading political parties that took part in the last elections are presented. The influence on the results of the last elections by the president of the country S, Zhaparov and his inner circle was noted. It is noted what consequences the results of these elections had on the socio-economic situation in the country and the mood in the Kyrgyz society. A forecast is made of how these elections may affect Kyrgyzstan's relationship with the leading countries that have economic and political relations with it, including the participation of this country in the Eurasian Economic Union.
