Abstract

Prospects for the study of complex interactions and unpredictable models of the development of modern socio-political relations are associated with a significant analytical potential of network theory. The acceleration of global changes in all spheres of society (which is greatly facilitated by breakthroughs in technological fields) requires the scientific community to advance in the development of effective theoretical tools to navigate this changing world, to understand and anticipate the consequences of these changes and the driving forces of social change today. It should be noted that at the level of political relations, especially in the global context, there is an interaction of networks and hierarchical structures that have not gone away. According to the belief of network theorists, (first of all, M.Castells and B.Latour) networks are opposed to hierarchical structures in the political sphere. An important point is also that political networks in the conditions of global turbulence pose a real threat to internal political hierarchies. the process of interaction of network entities with hierarchical structures at the level of political relations is quite complex, and it is still problematic to give an unambiguous assessment of the advantages and disadvantages of one or another variant of self-organization of society at the present stage.
