Abstract

The article deals with the current topic of educational migration. Educational migration is an important part of modern life. The reasons may be different: from the desire to see the world, expand your horizons to improve your skills, familiarizing yourself with new knowledge, technologies and building your future career at home or abroad. The article presents the experience of Finland, which in recent decades has made great progress in attracting educational migrants and their integration in the country in order to further adapt to the local labor market. This is especially important given the negative demographic trends in the country. The author gives examples of technologies and tools to attract educational migrants from all over the world. Neither the Covid-19 pandemic nor the difficult economic situation in the world have significantly affected the country's migration policy in this direction. The productive experience of Finland in attracting educational migrants, which, before the introduction of sanctions by the EU countries, cooperated quite closely with Russia in the field of educational programs and technologies, can be used in our country, which is also experiencing problems in the field of demographic development and is also interested in exporting its education and attracting educational migrants and highly qualified specialists to our country. This problem is particularly relevant today, when our country is in a state of severe sanctions from the countries of the Western world. A number of changes are taking place in the Russian migration legislation towards liberalizing the rules of stay of educational migrants in the country, but efforts are also needed by many departments, including the Russian Foreign Ministry, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other interested departments to intensify efforts to export Russian education and attract educational migrants to the country and create favorable conditions for studying and in the future, work in Russia.
