Abstract

The unstable socio-economic situation, the increase in the level of stress against the background of dynamic socio-cultural transformations, the devaluation of universal values, the weakening of the educational functions of social institutions and society as a whole have a negative impact on the socialization of new generations, which has multiple negative consequences, including the spread of drug addiction. The article examines the scale and trends of drug use in Russia and in the world. The consequences and satellites of drug use are noted. The main ways of social rehabilitation of drug users are described. Using the example of the activities of the NGO Yula, the ROF New Life, the prospects and effectiveness of the use of social theater as an element of the system of social rehabilitation of drug addicts who have fallen into a difficult life situation are revealed. The analysis of the results of the socio-theatrical project allows us to conclude about the prospects and effectiveness of social theater as one of the ways of social rehabilitation of drug addicts. Social theater contributes to the creation of an environment in which dependent clients can openly express emotions, explore a drug-free future, develop communication skills, establish personal connections and be honest with themselves and others without experiencing negative attitudes towards themselves from others.
