Abstract

The purpose of the research presented in this article is to study the features of the ethno-cultural identity of representatives of the Armenian diaspora community in Russia. The study is based on the analysis of empirical materials obtained using the method of questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview. It is proved that formation and preservation of identity occurs on the following grounds: the history of the Armenian people, the Armenian language, religion – the Armenian Apostolic Church, traditional values, ethno-cultural practices. Cognitive, behavioral and emotional components have been identified in the structure of the ethno-cultural identity of representatives of the Armenian diaspora community.
