Abstract

One of the important problems related to the field of sociological research is the problem of the social well-being of members of society. The article analyzes the results of a large-scale sociological survey conducted in the Republic of Tyva in 2019-2021. Based on the survey materials, the authors determined the degree of dependence between the educational attainment of residents of the region and the peculiarities of their social well-being. Based on the analysis, it was concluded that, depending on the educational attainment, there is a significant discrepancy in a number of indicators of the quality of life. The theoretical and methodological foundations of this article are based on the experience of previous studies of the social well-being of residents of the Republic of Tyva. The article substantiates the conclusion that, according to quite a number of criteria, the level of social well-being of people with higher education is significantly higher than the regional average. In particular, this concerns employment opportunities and adaptation to the social environment, a higher income level, a more stable social situation, and a broader practice of using bank loans, including mortgages.
