Paternalistic and ideological traditionalism as a factor inhibiting development of Russian humanities and social sciences

Abstract

The paper is concerned with topical problems of Russian humanities and social science field. Key factors preventing social sciences from entering the modern theoretic level and obtain tools of practical effect upon social processes are analyzed. In particular, three groups of problems are described: ideological paternalism in science; development of scientific technologies, distorted practice of think tanks; absence of specific applied theoretic developments, based on problem approach.
