Abstract

The article describes the focal nature of social stress, substantiates the approach whereby the duration of existence of hotbeds of social tension depends on the causes and nature of their occurrence, as well as the position and the effectiveness of the actions of the authorities. The authors emphasize that in conditions of modern Russia research should focus primarily on identifying the necessary and sufficient combination of factors to be taken into account in the process of forecasting and diagnosis of hotbeds of social tension in a specific local territorial collectivity.
