Abstract

The article analyzes the dynamics of the mass consciousness in Russia, formed in 2014 in the wake of the events in Ukraine and Crimea. The consolidation of the public and most of its radicalization, on the one hand, form the national consensus and ensure a high level of public optimism in the face of deteriorating socio-economic situation; On the other hand, have some mixed effects and trends, bringing to life the archetypal layers of the mass consciousness, is largely contrary to a real system of values and attitudes which do not involve the mobilization and consumer constraints. This contradiction will surely affect the political process, if not in the short, then in the longer term, making socio-political situation in the country is much less stable than in the first decade of this century.
