Abstract

The book presents the results of a study of professional ethics, values and norms of the state and municipal civil servants (2012-2013). The reconstruction of ideology and values of both the top level bureaucrats and the low level employees was based on more than 150 narrative biographical interviews. A significant place is occupied by the lexical and discourse analysis of the interview, which allowed to reveal the basic semantic concepts, largely reflecting the life and world outlook of a closed social group of Russian officials. The book may be of interest for employees of federal and municipal authorities, experts, scientists, graduate students and students, and for a wide range of readers interested in the Civil Service.
