Abstract

The new holistic paradigm of higher engineering education to come is under the discussion. It is connected with the new agenda fostered by globalization, and the unprecedentedly severe pressure and control from civil society over engineering projects. The basic traditions of classical engineering education are challenged by holistic pedagogy. Creativity, spirituality, communicative experience, team building, contextualization of engineering projects are mostly requested than purely applied math and science knowledge. The forthcoming holistic reform in higher education has its authentic philosophy, didactics and aimed at the renewal of traditional engineers-society relations.
