Abstract

The article analyzes the identities and main factors of interethnic harmony and tensions in the youth environment of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). It is revealed that from the point of view of the identities of the socio-cultural field and attitudes towards interethnic communication, the Russian and Sakha-Yakut youth are fairly homogeneous. In older ages, interethnic attitudes are more positive for Russians than for young people of both nationalities and for Yakuts. Isolationism in relations is fueled by similar causes, significant in other regions (experiencing cultural differences, claims for symbolic space ownership, social competition), while for Russians of all ages, anti-migrant attitudes are weaker.
