Abstract

Based on the data of the sociological survey in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), religious identities of the main ethnic groups of the republic are considered. Most Russians correlate themselves with Orthodoxy (72%), Sakha (Yakuts) with the traditional beliefs of their people (50%) and 11% Sakha - Orthodox. Orthodoxy in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is considered the hierarchy of the ROC as an integral part of the Yakut high national culture, created on the basis of written language and universal education. The religious identity of the Saha combines elements of dual faith, combining traditional beliefs with Christian beliefs. Over one third of the Sakhas from among the followers of traditional beliefs are involved in the rituals of Orthodox culture, considering it necessary to conduct baptisms, weddings, funeral services, celebrate the main Christian holidays Christmas and Easter. Russians are also involved in the traditional religious tradition of Sakha - more than 60% of Russians who identify themselves with Orthodoxy take part in the religious holiday of the renovation of Ysyakh.
