Abstract

In the monograph some aspects of the formation and functioning of engineering dynasties in Russia are explored. The project Engineering Dynasties of Russia (RHSF Grant № 15-03-00666) is aimed at studying the dynasties of engineers in a multidimensional social field, taking into account the influence of the state and the market in the context of historical changes. The relevance of the study is due to the significant role of the engineering profession. The conducted research allows to estimate the main problems connected with change of the social, economic and legal status of the engineer; to reveal some aspects in determining of the role of the cultural and educational resource of a professional dynasty; to determine the main directions of socio-economic policy of the state in the field of engineering.
