Abstract
In the book of famous Russian sociologists revealed various aspects of our reality, identified its inherent problems and contradictions, outlined possible ways to solve them. In the first part, Dmitriev made an attempt to substantiate the concepts of countersuggestion and countersuggestion, as well as to identify the relations of these concepts in sociology. In the second part VN Ivanov considered the problems of people third age, their attitudes, as well as the difficulties faced by the elderly in our difficult time. The third part of the monograph is devoted to the interpretation of the concept of meaning. J. T. Toshchenko has carried out the analysis of this phenomenon not in traditions of formal logic, and in relation to those problems which excite the sociologist. The authors devoted the book to the 50th anniversary of the Institute of sociology of RAS, having done a lot for its formation and development, as well as for sociology in General.
