Abstract

The article is devoted to assessing the influence of social factors on the use of alcohol by adolescents aged 15-16. As a theoretical basis of the study, the provisions of the General theory of crime by M. Gottfredson and T. Hirshi, the theory of Social learning in the version of R. Burgess and R. Akers and the theory of the Alcohol Expectancies were used. To test the influence of peers, parental control and the expected effect of alcohol on the frequency of alcohol consumption among adolescents, binary logistic regression analysis was used. Statistically significant effects of ineffective parental control, alcohol peer norms and positive alcohol expectations on the frequency of adolescent alcohol consumption  were found . Practical implications for the prevention of alcohol consumption by adolescents are proposed.
