Abstract

The article analyzes the process of transition of the all-Russian identity from state-centered to civil-state. On the basis of extensive sociological material the author comes to the conclusion that in modern conditions the images of the future in the public moods of Russians determine the life strategies of socially active layers of society, the Russian creative class, and focus on self-determination within the framework of the all-Russian identity, as an identity based on the connection of times, on the adoption of the future as a symbolic code of the all-Russian identity.
