Abstract

The author sees the expediency of a study in analyzing the results of the implementation of the program, not only from the point of view of expanding the opportunities for the participation of senior citizens in leisure activities, as indicated in official documents, but also overcoming the uncertainty of the life situation, minimizing the risks of the elderly through involvement in cultural and leisure activities. Low engagement rates indirectly characterize the conscious choice of elderly Muscovites not in favor of the Moscow Longevity program. Most of all complaints are caused by unsuitable conditions for classes, as well as poor organization of activities. Elderly Muscovites are still at risk due to the vacuum and uncertainty of the future. In the conditions of uncertainty associated with the forced indefinite self-isolation, this manifested itself especially sharply: both the Moscow Longevity program and many elderly residents of the capital were not ready to break the usual way of life.
