Abstract

Based on a descriptive source overview, this article explored how the sustainable green jobs sector responded to the ensuing economic constraints of COVID-19. Through the prism of the concepts of green professions in the social sciences, the theory of mobility and sustainable development, there are considered most affected by COVID-19 industries: production and consumption, waste, energy, logistics. It was revealed that in the context of the coronavirus crisis, the relevance of energysaving and resource-saving solutions has increased, the ideas of a green economy have become actualized as an opportunity for an early economic and social recovery. The crisis tested the ideas of a green economy: sharing, the Internet of things, recycling. Social distance and economy during a pandemic, new social and environmental practices have created a demand for the promotion of green initiatives and introduced new professional requirements: environmental and hygienic safety. The preference is given to firms and markets that can offer safer and more ecological solutions offline and adapt to new hygiene requirements. Demand for organic food and local farming products increased, with more focus on the industry and waste management workers. The transport and logistics sector suffered the main damage due to movement restrictions
