Abstract

In modern conditions, management in any organization becomes innovative: innovation, management of the innovation process become an absolute imperative of management activities. The relevance of the research is due to the fact that recent changes in the environment that contribute to the formation of the knowledge economy make it necessary to revise the basic postulates of management of organizations and territories. Conditions that previously allowed for success, such as large-scale production, the performance of all functions within the organization, the presence of significant reserves of natural resources or the production potential of territories today do not guarantee the desired results. The article considers the increasing role of intellectual capital in the development of the knowledge economy. The characteristic features of intellectual capital are clarified; the peculiarities of the influence of the knowledge economy on the development of organizations are revealed; it is shown that in the modern world, many competitive advantages are no longer stable competitive due to increasing information transparency, but at the same time competitive advantages based on experience using modern technologies remain relatively stable.
