Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the existing system of prevention and response to the problem of family violence at the regional level. Methodological basis of research. The authors of the article proceeded from the thesis that qualitative research methods such as focus groups and in-depth interviews can be very useful in forming a complete picture of understanding the phenomenon of family violence, as well as for planning further programs to prevent the spread of violence in all forms. Research result. Based on an expert survey of specialists whose professional activities are related to the problem of family violence, the authors assess the effectiveness of measures to prevent family and domestic violence in the subjects of the Russian Federation. The interview guide included several blocks consisting of assessment of the current state of the problem of domestic violence at the regional level; increase in violence during the restrictive measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic; assessment of the overall state of the system of prevention of family violence in Russia and in the region where the expert works, in terms of effectiveness, as well as important research cases
