Abstract

Currently, demographic changes are taking place in the population structure of many countries of the world, including the Russian Federation, indicating an increase in the relative share of citizens of older age groups. One of the natural consequences of population aging as a socio-demographic process is the growth of needs for social services and the development of the social service system. The need to maintain an active life in old age is one of the active topics of modern scientific research. The article presents an analysis of the actual situation of older people working and not working; living in a family and single; the ratio, relationship and mutual influence of them on each other; the degree of employment of older people in various public Affairs, the attitude of older people to them, the main factors contributing to the preservation of labor activity in old age.
