Abstract

As recent European and Russian studies have shown, the coronavirus pandemic has not yet led to significant changes in the state of satisfaction with life both in Western societies and in Russia, and the population generally generally supports the measures that governments are taking to counter the coronavirus. This can be explained by the fact that systems of personal values ​​have taken root in the studied countries, which allow maintaining the stability of society, despite the impact of short-term force majeure circumstances, while security becomes the dominant value. A comparative analysis of modern basic values ​​in Russia and Germany showed that at present there are a sufficient number of prerequisites that can positively affect the level of cooperation between Russia and Germany in the field of socio-political design.
