Abstract

The information and analytical bulletin is devoted to the study of trends in interethnic relations and Russian identity in the situation of challenges in 2020, the reaction of society to the coronavirus infection and the social restrictions caused by it. The article considers the dynamics of interethnic relations in 2019-2020, the factors that influence the nature of interethnic relations in different socio-demographic and local environments, the perception of Russians about the role of nationality in the realization of opportunities in the labor sphere. The author analyzes the consolidating potential of value orientations, the role of trust and historical and cultural representations in the formation of Russian identity. The linguistic aspects of Russian and ethnic identities are analyzed in the context of current problems in the field of language policy and education. The conclusions of the presented articles are based on the results of the All-Russian representative sociological survey conducted by the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences in September 2020 (The project All-Russian Identity and Interethnic Relations: Social Practice, Public Discourse and Management Decisions within the framework of the Program of Fundamental and Applied Scientific Research related to the study of the ethno-cultural diversity of Russian society and aimed at strengthening the all-Russian identity (the order of the President of the Russian Federation No. PR-71 of 16.01.2020).
