Abstract

The article examines the social aspects of the mobile living conditions of people living in the south of the Tyumen region and working in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The methodological foundations of the analysis were the ideas about the social space of life, which make it possible to reveal the place, role, meaning of interaction, spatio-temporal movements of social actors with certain social positions and social connections. Based on the results of sociological studies conducted by the authors since 2005 of the practice of rotational organization of labor in the implementation of large economic projects in Yamal, as well as in other northern and Arctic regions of Russia, the social well-being of shift workers and their families living in the south of the Tyumen region, a lack of understanding is shown. shift work as a technology for staffing economic projects, the need for its interpretation and research as a social phenomenon - a complex of interrelated social phenomena and processes in the social space of the territories of hiring and labor of shift workers, which are generated by their multilocal way of life or are its consequence. The insufficiency of modern regulatory and legal support of rotational work is demonstrated, the scheme of legal relations arising during its use requiring settlement is described.
