Abstract
Labor migration has both positive and negative consequences. The main developing countries of the world, using a selective approach and a clear definition of priorities, strive to make international migration a key factor in the development of national human capital, the economy, and the entire social sphere. Currently, Tajikistan is the second country after Uzbekistan that provides Russia with labor migrants. Citizens of Tajikistan work in all regions of the Russian Federation. But most of the migrants come to major cities, primarily to Moscow and St. Petersburg.
