Abstract

The article analyzes the forms of civil activism in teaching, identified in the course of field research in 2013-2016 and in 2019. So, in 2013-2016, we found that teachers continued to show an active position in their activities, driven by civic duty. As part of the research, it was found that only those innovations introduced in education that are accepted by the teaching community are successfully adapted at the level of regional centers of the Russian Federation. At the same time, according to the results of a study conducted in 2019, it was found that civil activism is declining among teachers, and they are limited to providing educational services. As a method of sociological survey, focus groups were chosen with representatives of the district administration, teachers of General education institutions, employees of additional education institutions, and figures of cultural and leisure institutions. The results of field research in 2019 showed that teachers are increasingly limited to providing educational services. This position of teachers is facilitated by factors such as pressure from parents of students, the influence of Internet bloggers and, as a result, the decline in the importance of teachers for students. The study showed that the idea of protecting children's rights at school, which most often takes an exaggerated form, is increasingly spreading among parents. Parents who have clearly accepted the position that the child is a person and has the right to defend their interests, actively begin to fight against teachers. In some cases, parents of schoolchildren involve representatives of the administration. In addition, thanks to the use of the Internet by students, the teacher has ceased to be a unique source of knowledge. Students have the illusion that they can find the necessary information themselves. In turn, on the Internet, one of the most popular sources of knowledge among the younger generation is the pages of bloggers. Children, and from an early age, begin to be interested in the information provided by bloggers on the Internet. However, the widespread use of this form of providing information has a number of negative consequences: first, as a rule, bloggers are not responsible for providing their material, and, not being able to select and filter material, children trust the information received from the blogger. Secondly, schoolchildren and students begin to believe that there is no need to get fundamental knowledge, even perhaps a profession, since you can run a blog and get a decent payment for it. Third, due to the fact that children tend to look for role models, they choose authoritative (in their environment) personalities, and now, as a rule, these are bloggers. In the end, it all comes down to the fact that school education ceases to be aimed at developing the thought process, imagination, and the formation of creativity in students. According to the results of field research in schools, the teacher begins to provide only educational services, without teaching students, children lose interest and ability to learn. The reason is that school teachers are no longer ready to go against modern trends in education.
