Abstract

Cities are centers of cultural life, economy and industry. Cities continueto attract migrants and travelers. It is quite natural that for the last hundredyears the city has been the object of study of sociologists, linguists,psychologists and philosophers. The monograph attempts to highlight the maintrends in urban development and show the main vectors of modern urbanresearch.
