Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the nature, methods and results of impact of the most popular TV series of 2010–2021 on the formation of values of the Russian TV audience. The research methodology is based on the sociocultural analysis of the content of feature televi sion series from the point of view of their impact on the spiritual and moral values of the TV audience. The result of the impact of TV series pursuing only commercial goals is the erosion of the value normative system of Russian society and bringing this system to chaos under the influence of mod ern television as one of the main transmitters of mass spiritual and cultural values. The research topic is considered to be one of the most important directions for the develop ment in the field of sociology of culture and mass communications, which allows fair assessment 170 ЗНАНИЕ.
