Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze the state policy towards women mothers during the Great Patriotic War, which was reflected in the central periodical press. The study is based on the content analysis of the publications of the newspapers “Pravda” and “Izvestia”. It is concluded that the publications served as a way of informing the population about state support for mothers, performed an ideological function, calling for childbearing.
