The process under consideration is the strengthening of urban principles in the organization of social provincial life. There is an accelerated urbanization, which leads not only to the transformation of the territorial community both in quantitative (an increase in the number, density and heterogeneity of the population) and in qualitative (lifestyle) parameters, but also to a change in the principles of the organization of social life in the Russian province. The author shows by the example of a city that the conductor of urbanization and the carrier of an urbanized lifestyle is a new social group of residents moving to new buildings in this city from Moscow and other megacities. The members of this new group are carriers of an urbanized lifestyle and have quite high opportunities for the consumption of socially significant goods and services in comparison with the indigenous Zvenigorod residents. It is emphasized that the “urbanized” group occupies a dominant position in the social structure of this territorial community, and its inherent lifestyle becomes decisive in planning the future development of the city.
