Abstract

The article deals with the problems of socio-economic development of the Arctic regions of Russia in the conditions of instability caused by the coronavirus pandemic, sanctions pressure and the general foreign policy situation. Using the author's tools, during 2020–2022. sociological studies were conducted in three Arctic regions of Russia: the Arkhangelsk region, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YNAO) and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (CHAO). Some results are given to improve the quality of life of northerners.
