Abstract

The purpose of this article is to identify the key problems of state support for small and medium–sized businesses and suggest ways to solve them. As a result of the study, the key prerequisites for the emergence of problems of state support for small and medium-sized businesses that have different origins, but are closely related to each other. Further, the main manifestations of problematic aspects of state support for small and medium-sized businesses were considered. In the course of the study, the current directions of solving the problems of state support for small and medium-sized businesses were studied, as well as their assessment was carried out. Based on the analysis, promising ways to solve the problems of state support for small and medium-sized businesses are proposed and described. Conclusions. The key prerequisites for the emergence of problems of state support for small and medium-sized businesses can be identified at the stage of origin, as a result of which the possibility of minimizing their development is manifested. The existing support areas are effective to a certain extent, but they require not only improvement, but also expansion.
