At the conceptual level, here we operate with a number of concepts - life path, career trajectory, transitions, turning points, as well as on the subjective level of social mobility - the dynamics of status identity as a delegated opportunity to a social actor to narrativize subjectively important turning points of the educational and professional trajectory. Empirically, we draw on both the narrative, the origin of which is in the biographical interview, and the publicly available data of the respondent in the form of several resumes reflecting the mobility of his status identity. In addition, an empirical array of resumes of general directors of large corporations is analyzed for patterns in the level of qualifications obtained for the head of the company, the time spent on completing the upward trajectory of a representative of the managerial elite, differences associated with generational cohorts, as well as the specifics of socio-professional mobility from previous professional groupsContent (in russ)hide table of contentsshow table of contents
