Abstract

Currently, the concept of risk has many interpretations, depending on the sphere of interest represented by the actor who puts one or another meaning into this concept. For this reason, it is advisable to typologize risks from the point of view of their management within the framework of regional socio-political development for clear understanding the goals and objectives for which risk management is carried out. In this regard, the article proposes a problematic approach to solving the issue of risk management, according to which the causes of their occurrence are unresolved problems that can be overcome by making a political decision aimed at anticipating challenges and threats, thereby reducing risks in order to minimize political, economic, social and other damage to the country, region or society. The authors give a new interpretation of the concepts of challenge, threat, danger and risk in the context of risk management of regional socio-political development
